Everyday I'd pass this cheese shop wondering what it was like inside, last week I finally had a few spare minutes and decided to check it out. I was surprised to see that Beecher's Handemade Cheese was more than a cheese shop, and was a really lovely cafe/restaurant, which during the night turns into "The Cellar", a basement bar scene for people 21 and over. Originating in Seattle, Kurt Beecher Dammeier branched out to NYC in 2008 where he opened the Flat Iron location. The title doesn't lie when it says "Handmade Cheese", and they are able to prove it! Half of the bottom floor is taken up by their cheese making kitchen, where customers can sit on stainless steel milk cans while watching the product go through the age old process. With an ever changing menu, Beecher's offers an array of different items, such as panini's, pastas, soups and especially tasty coffee!

Good Nosh: Breakfast Pizza
One of my favorite things to do is find new and simple recipes that are different from what I usually eat. Here's a great vegetarian snack that I found on the blog, Justina Blakeney! It's always a bonus when the snacks aren't too bad for you either! Click here to see the rest of the post.
Quick, healthy and easy snacks is my starting point this week….
Avo + Egg Brakfast Pizza
Here's what you'll need:
1. Greek or pocketless pita, or any kind of flat bread
2. Lemon
3. Ripe avocado
4. Organic egg
5. Sea salt, pepper, chili flakes, cumin, cumin seed, extra virgin olive oil
Here's what you do:
Toast pita until crisp, mash avocado and spread on pita, drizzle with a dash of lemon, olive oil and spices, place egg cooked to your liking on top and serve.
Best as healthy breakfast, afternoon snack or Sunday night dinner!
Add prosciutto or a sprinkling of feta over the top for a richer snack.

Good Nosh: Robert
I had a meeting at this restaurant last week, I was told that it was a cafe and was surprised when the elevator opened out onto this posh eatery instead. Here are some pictures of the place below, be sure to go on a nice day, the view of Central Park is really spectacular! Not only is the food good but the waitstaff were so nice, letting us take our time even though we were there for hours and didn't order too much. Click here for more information about Robert.

Good.Eco-Friendly.Nosh.
The Greenhouse, built by artist Joost Bakker, has taken eco-friendly to whole new level with this design. Not only are all their herbs and vegitables grown on site (on the roof) but the entire building is made out of recycled and recyclable materials. The cafe also collects all of its water on-site, while the generator works off of cooking oil. They are located right on the Sydney Harbor giving you a lovely view of the water. If you are in the Sydney area you better get there fast, the cafe will only be there until the end of March, and then will be moving on to Milan!

Hearty Lentil and Sausage Soup from Whole Foods
I just tried this recipe the other day and I cannot tell you how good this soup is! The only thing I did differently was chop the mushrooms in stead of slicing them!

Five-Spice Gingersnap Cookies!
I made these last year and they turned out pretty good! It was a little harder than I thought it would be but as long as you leave a good amount of time to do it all the results are totally worth it! For the recipe click here!
