Random Bits of Inspiration: Watercolors

Recently I have been catching up on all the new fall shows and my favorites that have returned, such as New Girl, Homeland, The Colbert Report, The Mindy Project, Downton Abbey and then of course the Debates! Anyways while I watch these programs I usually have my watercolors in front of me for something to do on the side. These are some of the things I've come up with in these last two weeks!

Celebrate: The Sunny Weather!

It promises to be a very lovely day tomorrow, and as a treat the office where I work will be closing early to let everyone enjoy the weather! Me and a few girls from work are planning to have a picnic, I can't wait, it will be my first official picnic of the year and what's a better place than Central Park?! Random bits of Inspiration: Add a little Color!

Spring is finally here and I couldn't be happier! Do something to brighten a strangers day (im not suggesting you give a stranger hug). Do something random and just because, here are some ideas to get your mind brainstorming! Here are some other tips on other little acts of kindness you can do!

Find some leaves and decorate and ordinarily bland object

Pick some dandelions and create!

Compliment someone on what their wearing! I can't tell you how happy I am after receiving a compliment from a stranger!

Decorate a tree! 

Try out the newest form of street art, yarn bombing!

Hot off the Press: Bill Cunningham

Here's a great video by Bill Cunningham that was suggested to me the other day. If you don't know who Bill Cunningham is, let me inform you...... he is most well known for his fashion centric street photographs for The New York Times. He is a community staple to those of New York, you can see him either outside Saks or riding around on his signature bicycle. To get Bill's whole story watch the documentary on him!

Fashion: Patternity

Okay this is why I love the internet, otherwise I never would have found the awesomeness that are these tights by Patternity! They are insanely cool and insanely expensive, but I'm still tempted to buy them! What do you guys think?

Found these embroidery scenes on Daydream Lily today I thought they were so beautiful, being a fan of embroidery I was happy to be surprised by her work, it was really a pleasure looking through her website! It makes me want to finally finish an embroidery project that I started months ago!

Where its AT: Aperture

This past Saturday I attended the Family Matters Lecture at Aperture, where the panel consisted of photographers Elinor Carucci, Gillian Laub, and Chris Verene, and was moderated by Susan Bright. It was such a great time, and I intend to start attending more events at Aperture! We ended the day with a walk on The High Line and dinner at The Diner.
